Digital Transformation & Change - Performed technical assessment of existing legacy application portfolio for viability of Cloud migration to client tenancy. Produced dashboard of complexity and value of migration activity (in terms of achievability, potential cost savings and strategic value of applications) to identify initial candidates. Conducted Migration Factory service, uplifting all service components to latest versions, conducting full regression test and optimising environment clusters for cost effectiveness. Successfully migrated 5 applications and conducted knowledge transfer to retained teams to allow BAU delivery of broader portfolio.
Data - Conducted discovery on existing data sources used for investment decision-making at senior management / departmental level. Established data analytics environment on Microsoft Azure using PowerBI to generate dashboards to support decision-makers. Conducted analytical experiments to improve quality and completeness of data to improve confidence in decisions.
DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering - In a greenfield deployment, created a complete AWS Cloud tenancy. Defined development processes and created secure CI-CD pipeline to support Agile delivery teams. Created runbook of common environment components to accelerate provisioning of service elements for product delivery. Delivered common services for authentication, logging and monitoring, payments and user feedback for use by subsequent product delivery.
Strategy & Architecture - Delivered fixed cost outcome architectural services alongside internal resources in support of multiple project deliveries with SC and NPPV cleared resources. Provided knowledge transfer and upskilling / coaching of internal resources to allow a full handback of operations and allowing BAU team to continue unaided.
Cyber Security - Worked closely with incumbent team to identify gaps in existing code and secrets management processes. Identified Open Source controls that could be implemented alongside existing pipeline tooling. Completed Strategic Threat Assessment to organisation and produced anti-personas and likely attacks aligned to MITRE ATT&CK framework to provide frame of reference for Blue Team operations.
